Pediatric First Aid CPR AED
Class Description
With Child Care Providers in mind, the American Heart Association designed this pediatric training First Aid, CPR, AED class to meet the regulatory and credentialed training requirements for child care workers in all 50 states.
The First Aid CPR AED Training Class provides training for those who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies, such as child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth groups, coaches for sports organizations and others.
This First Aid Training contains information on how to manage illnesses and injuries in a child during the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
The core course content covers: first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, Adult/Child/Infant CPR and AED.
The course is classroom and video based. The modular design and optional pediatric first aid topics allow child care facilities to tailor the program to their needs or meet regulatory agency requirements in some states.
The class length is at least 4 hours, depending on needs and the modules taught.
