Course Description

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals.

Intended Audience

Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.

HeartSaver AED-CPR

Course Description

The CPR Training Course teaches current techniques for CPR and relief of choking in adults and children. An infant module and AED Training may be added as an additional part of the class. We always provide a CPR Training manikin to student ration of 1 to 1 which speeds the class along and insures a sanitary training environment. We offer both the American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR certification and AED certifications.

Audience

For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. All classes meet OSHA Guidelines. Everybody needs this course.

HeartSaver First Aid is our most popular class with Industry, Commercial Businesses and Government Agencies.This course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first minutes until help arrives. Course content includes General Principles of First Aid, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, CPR, AED, and Environmental Emergencies.

OSHA Compliant

This course meets OSHA requirements and is a good general course for anyone wishing to be proficient in Basic First Aid and CPR/AED. The First Aid-CPR class runs around 4 hours in length and the certification is valid for 2 years. Combining this class with Blood Borne Pathogens adds at least 30 minutes and gets your company up to OSHA standards.

Course Description

With Child Care Providers in mind, the American Heart Association designed this pediatric course to meet the regulatory and credentialed training requirements for child care workers in all 50 states.

The course provides training for those who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies, such as child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth groups, coaches for sports organizations and others.

This course contains information on how to manage illnesses and injuries in a child during the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

The core course content covers: first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.

The course is classroom and video based. The modular design and optional pediatric first aid topics allow child care facilities to tailor the program to their needs or meet regulatory agency requirements in some states.

The course length can range about 4 hours, depending on needs and the modules taught.
